Here are some examples of the projects I've worked on, with a brief explanation and testimonial alongside each. Feel free to contact me if you've got any questions.

  • YogaDoodz

YogaDoodz website, by TemperTemper Web Design

YogaDoodz is a friendly and informal yoga collective in Newcastle Upon Tyne. They use yoga and group discussion as a tool to deal with the stresses of modern living.

This site was built around the client's logo and contains a custom Content Management System, which allows them to update classes and other information when they want, without having to come back through me.

As social interaction is central to the YogaDoodz philosophy, the site contains links the YogaDoodz Facebook and Twitter feeds as well as their blog.

I contacted Martin through his website and he responded straight away. We talked on the phone where he asked me a series of questions about my business and how I envisioned the site to be and I knew by the end of the conversation that I was on to a good thing! He's a pleasure to work with and the website is even better than I expected; I aim to be using his service again when the time comes. Thank you Martin for all your hard work.”–Ally Patton, 16th July 2011

  • Steph Black Ceramic Artist

Steph Black Ceramics website, by TemperTemper Web Design

Steph Black is a talented and well established ceramic artist based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

I rebuilt Steph's already stylish-looking website from the ground up, condensing the navigation and rearranging some of the layout. The site now complies with current internet standards and accessibility and is search engine friendly. The gallery on the homepage was remade using jQuery and Javascript, as well as HTML and CSS, which are fully cross browser and device compatible, rather than the original, which was made using Flash.

The content of the site is driven by a custom made Content Management System, so that Steph can update the site whenever she wants!

It was a pleasure to work with Martin. He is concise, detailed, very affable – but more importantly, he listens. As did I, as he came up with some excellent ideas. I am delighted with the results and would recommend TemperTemper to anyone.”–Steph Black, 18th July 2011

  • Jory Adamson Personal Training

Jory Adamson Personal Training website, by TemperTemper Web Design

Jory is a passionate personal trainer based in the Harrogate area, with a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise.

This was a complete design project: from the name of the business and the logo, to Jory's business stationery and the site itself; it's a deceptively simple website with a pop-up contact form and members' sign-in area.

Martin has been a pleasure to work with on the creation of my website. He delivers to promise and takes time to consider my needs. His approach has been purely professional and he's always been available to listen to my suggestions and has come up with some creative solutions which have met my specific requirements. I would recommend Martin - he's a breath of fresh air and provides excellent value for money.”–Jory Adamson, 15th May 2011

  • Dawson Wealth Management

Dawson Wealth Management branding, by TemperTemper Web Design

Dawson Wealth Management is an IFA firm based in the picturesque Yorkshire Moors.

I was commissioned to revitalise their branding with a new logo that conveyed the commpany's values. I also produced letterheads and business cards to tie in with the new brand.

Martin's brief was to come up with a new logo that reflects the reliable, down-to-earth nature of my business, as well as to produce effective business cards and letterheads to accompany the new look. I must say I was very impressed with both his knowledge and professionalism during our meetings and would have no problem in recommending any of his services to new clients.”–Kevin Dawson, 11th May 2011

  • LT Tax Services

LT Tax Services website, by TemperTemper Web Design

An accountants based near York, LT Tax Services offer a very personal approach to your tax accountancy needs.

This is another from-the-ground-up site, with the client requiring a logo and branding as well as a website.

As well as an introduction to the company and a breakdown of the services offered, the site also contains an FAQ section, giving information on tax returns, payments, allowances, rates and categories. These pages also have a dedicated style sheet, optimising them for printing.

Martin designed and implemented my website and also my logo and "brand". I was extremely impressed with the results. Martin took full responsibility for the project, researching similar businesses to ensure that my website is competitive, and coming up with original and inventive ideas. His work is professional and to a very high standard, and Martin is approachable and easy to work with. Martin is now maintaining my website on an ongoing basis, and I would not hesitate to recommend him.”–Liz Turnbull, 9th March 2011

  • 4 Seasons Chinese Restaurant

4 seasons website, by TemperTemper Web Design

A fantastic little restaurant in Hamilton, just outside Glasgow, approached me with a logo and the need for a simple website to showcase their business.

The site was designed around their logo, using orange and grey against black and has an attractive, easy to use gallery, expanding/collapsing menus and an embedded map from Google.
